# Is the CAEC diploma the same as a high school diploma?

No, it is not. However, the CAEC diploma is e**quivalent** to a regular high school diploma and is recognized by **employers, colleges, and government institutions**.

**Please note:** [Cansego offers CAEC prep](https://cansego.ca/online-ged-classes/) to help you get ready for the test, but we are not involved in the testing process. All testing is handled through the official CAEC portal.
