# Are GED credentials still valid?

Yes, if you earned a GED diploma before the transition to CAEC, your **GED credential remains valid** and recognized.

**Please note:** [Cansego offers CAEC prep](https://cansego.ca/online-ged-classes/) to help you get ready for the test, but we are not involved in the testing process. All testing is handled through the official CAEC portal.
